22" x 28" - Wax-based Media (Colored Pencil and Artist Crayon)
Created with the Icarus Drawing Board.
I finished this piece just in time to enter it into the 19th Annual CPSA Juried Exhibition. There's something about this group of pebbles, linked together by water, that reminded me how we are all connected, socially and otherwise.
This year the Colored Pencil Society Convention will be in Dallas, Texas. I will be demonstrating the Icarus board at the CPSA trade show Saturday, July 16, from 9:00 to 2:00.
I have a short demonstration coming up on Saturday, April 30th, in conjunction with the Los Angeles CPSA district chapter meeting. Click this link for directions.

Marvellous, how you managed the shining effect of the light at the surface of water and stones.. GREAT!

Ester, very beautiful; the reflection of light and water current really adds a mood and flow to the piece; beautiful; I also finished my piece of the cactus bloom at night. It feels so good to have completed it and entered.

You just get better and better. I entered the CPSA show as well, using your Icarus Board and technique to give my butterfly wings more of a stained glass look. Doubt if my piece will be selected but it’s an honor to submit to the same show that you are going to be in and win of course!

So beautiful - I get immersed in the colours, like taking a shower inside a rainbow!
